VCSC Daily - Stocks drop as banks pull back - CII, PNJ

The VN-Index fell for the first day in five on Tuesday, closing off four tenth of a percent. Weighing on sentiment in the region were news that North Korea launched a missile into the Sea of Japan and Hong Kong's Hang Seng index slumped as much as two percent. Trading volume was light in HCMC at USD153 million, below the one-month average of USD190 million. Banks led today's sell-off, with BID (-1.9%), CTG (-1.5%), VCB (-0.5%) and MBB (-1.1%) all lower.
