VCSC Daily - Bank tickers pull VN-Index up - BSR, MBB, QNS, VRE

Despite surging to an intraday gain of 1.3% on Friday afternoon, a sharp sell-off in the final hour of trading ultimately caused the VN-Index to close the session up by just a half of a percent. In addition, trading turnover on HOSE surged to USD331.7mn. The VN-Index increased 2.8% for the week, marking its fourth consecutive positive week. For the month of August to date, the VN-Index has gained 10.1%. BID (+3.7%) jumped to a five-week high and was the day’s top contributing gainer.
