Morning brief 16-09-2010
Investors were quite indecisive with the index breaking into the green twice but it faltered ending flat at 448.72 points. There were 152 decliners and only 53 gainers with 55 unchanged. The Northern bourse did not fare as well dropping 2% to close at 127.21 points. The main story of the day is OGC which led the market with over 2.72 million shares traded with nearly 50% of that volume accounted for by foreign investors; this follows the previous session where 1.48 million shares of OGC was traded. The OGC shares traded in the day valued at VND 91.6 bn accounted for almost 9% of the market’s total trading value of VND 1,022 bn. Foreign investors net bought VND 121 bn in value of which OGC accounted for 44.5 bn, in the last two days foreign investors have net bought VND 77 bn in this stock. OGC closed at VND 34,000 per share which is up 9.7% from its recent lows.
